    Prayer of Growth

James 1:2-4 (KJV) states: My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be prefect and entire, wanting nothing. Father, I am asking you to teach me how to count it all joy while I am having my trials. Let my wisdom be known that my trials are just a test to grow closer to you. Show me how to not lean on my own understanding but to trust in you with all of my heart. Remind me that I am made in your image and I…

    Walk by Faith

Hebrews 11 (KJV) speaks about Faith. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…” (11:1) “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (11:3) “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (11:6) 2 Corinthians 5:7 “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” Do not dwell on the image in front of you, but stay focused on the…

ARE WE GOING TO CHANGE?

    Praise

“Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” Psalms 96:1 “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise our God….” Psalms 40:3 You may know all about my problems. You may know all about my pain. You may know all about my past. But I have changed, But I have changed, But I have changed.  God solved all of my problems. He healed me from my pain. God stripped away my sad stories.  He showed me how to live with His glory. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing…

    Does Life Matter?

My heart is saddened by the mass shootings that happen throughout the world. Parents are losing their children to animals of all forms. Children are being molested by people who vowed to guide them. Teenagers are committing suicide because they are bullied. The streets are not safe for our kids and unfortunately neither are some homes. Parents are gifting their children to adults because they can’t pay their debits. We treat each other with malice. Black men are not safe to drive, walk or jog without someone calling the police. Why? It’s time to change for our future generations!

    Cleanse Excuses

Let us cleanse our bodies. Excuses we tell ourselves: 1. I’ll start on Monday 2. The gym is costly 3. I love my body but it’s hard to throw away food. 4. I have achey knees, arthritis and high blood pressure. 5. I am a woman that does not want to mess up my hair. Answers to our excuses: 1. Why? You do not know what will happen tomorrow … (James:13-15) 2. God will supply every need. (Philippians 4:19) 3. Give to the poor. (Proverbs 19:17) 4. God is a healer. (Psalms 30:2) 5. God knows the hair on your head. (Matthew 10:30) Take change one step at a time.…

    God’s Fireworks

On July 4, 2020, my husband and I went to see the fireworks. It was disappointing so we returned inside. About 15 minutes later we heard a loud boom. Was that thunder? No way! It can’t be! It was. Heavy rain started pouring and in the distance over the ocean, we saw the most beautiful demonstration from God. The night sky lit up like a magical Christmas show.  When the storm was over, people returned to resume their fireworks which wasn’t comparable.

For the love of the game

I know a place where people can go without being judged by their: Religion, Skin color, or Their lifestyles. We sing, We scream, We cheer, We give hi fives, We boo and We shout together. We encourage each other to wear the same colors. We win together and we lose together No matter what, we stick together. For the love of the game.

    A Working Vessel

This is for the person that is having a rough day. For God gave us a spirit, not of fear, but of power, love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 Lets us start praising, singing and worshiping as it confuses the enemy. Evil knows our problems, it even knows our pain, but we must trust God will take it all away. As for those of us that have been in similar situations, help others by sharing your testimony. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 Today I Am A Working Vessel

    All Eyes On Me

Judge not that ye be not judged( Matthew 7:1) People throw stones, shoes or whatever my way because: All eyes are on me.  As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..  (Psalms 23:4) I can feel all eyes on me. I walk in the light, as he is in the light…and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all of our sins. (1 John 1:7) I still feel all eyes on me. All eyes are on me when I open my mouth or keep it shut.  People are constantly watching me regardless of what I do. I’m going to keep letting my light…

    Don’t Lose Your Focus!

When God put Job to the test by sending satan to destroy everything that Job had …. Job kept his focus. When “The Woman With the Issue of Blood” bled for twelve years nonstop … she kept her focus. Martha was distracted with preparations while her sister, Mary, sat by Jesus’s feet focusing on his presence. Mary kept her focus. Life has many mountains to climb, different roads to take and different ways of viewing them. Your journey may be rough and you start to think about giving up .. Don’t! When you reach the end of your task, it will be worth the journey. Don’t lose Your focus!
