Prayer of Growth

James 1:2-4 (KJV) states:
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be prefect and entire, wanting nothing.
Father, I am asking you to teach me how to count it all joy while I am having my trials. Let my wisdom be known that my trials are just a test to grow closer to you.
Show me how to not lean on my own understanding but to trust in you with all of my heart.
Remind me that I am made in your image and I CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ which strengthens me.
Do not allow me to be a hypocrite by encouraging others and not myself.
Cover me God with your blood, clothe me with your armor and anoint me with your oil.
When I am weak, please be my strength and my rock of salvation.
I would like to live by Philippians 4:4 “rejoice in the Lord always…
God did not give me the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of sound mind.. 2 Timothy 1:7
